We do not sell, rent, transmit, or share captured webpage content or personal information.
Information handled
When you explicitly start a capture, the extension temporarily accesses the active webpage so it can measure, scroll, capture, and restore that page.
- Screenshot pixels are assembled locally inside the extension.
- The page title, source URL, capture time, and completed image may be saved in browser-local storage when capture history is enabled.
- Preferences such as export format and retention settings are stored locally through Chrome extension storage.
- Files are written to Downloads only after your action or when you enable automatic downloading.
How information is used
The information is used only to provide the extension’s disclosed purpose: capturing complete webpages and letting you locally review, annotate, store, copy, and export those captures.
Sharing and remote processing
The extension does not send captures, page content, URLs, browsing activity, or preferences to the developer or any third party. It does not execute remotely hosted code. Exported files leave extension storage only when you download, copy, or share them yourself.
Retention and deletion
You control local retention in Settings. You can delete individual captures or clear the full local library from History. Uninstalling the extension removes extension-managed browser storage according to Chrome’s behavior.
Permissions
- activeTab: temporarily access only the page where you start a capture.
- scripting: run the local helper that measures, scrolls, and restores that page.
- storage and unlimitedStorage: save preferences and optional local screenshot history.
- downloads: save image and PDF exports you request.
- clipboardWrite: copy a completed screenshot when you choose Copy.
Security
Processing and storage occur locally in Chrome’s extension environment. Because the extension does not operate a capture server, captured content is not transmitted to us for storage or processing.
Children’s privacy
Full Page Capture is a general-purpose productivity tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Policy changes
If the extension’s data practices change, this page and the Chrome Web Store disclosures will be updated before the new practices take effect.
